Ending Poem by Lauren Coles

No one is here forever,
Hospice workers have to be strong,
It's not easy for parents to make decisions about how they should handle children when the time comes to say goodbye,
Especially when they are young and unable to understand,
Oxygen tubes are not a good sign,
Someone with cancer might not have too much time to live,
Hospice workers have to go into intensive training,
They might be holding someone's hand while they are passing away,
Nurses are special people to help in this situation,
Thanks to everyone who has helped provide comfort in the aftermath of death.
