End Times: Sonnet Poem by DM W

End Times: Sonnet

Wise prophetic words are quickly fading
In the mists of modern complacency.
Bold and bright warning signs are submerging
In vast seas of ennui and apathy.
Soon the fire and flood will fall upon us
And the earth's beauty will be disfigured;
Perhaps forever. O such profound loss
Is hard to imagine as fear and dread
Are airbrushed out of existence! O this
Artificial world, plagued by denial,
Is now mired in a collective madness!
The sun's eclipse seems like it is final.
To all those who refuse to look at their
Reflection in the dark mirror, beware!
