End The Dependency Poem by Randy McClave

End The Dependency

Their greed we must foil
We must end our dependency on oil,
They are murderous CEOS having us by our throats
While we are drowning, they are fueling up their boats.
They are evil dictators holding onto our gas bill
To give us a break they never will,
They will always want and will get another dollar
Even when we protest and scream and holler.
Gas prices will keep going higher
Needing and wanting gas is our only desire,
Now we are all dependent on a foreign land
And many scream and now want foreign oily sand.
I say let's use what Mother Nature has given us
Then we can end all of this oil dependency fuss,
We have air and sunlight and water which is free
We can still be a self reliant country.
We must transition our life to clean energy
To save our world and also our economy,
Our reliance to oil we must quickly end
Let's once again make Mother Nature our friend.
