Well worth thinking about. I especially liked the lines: The world ends every night when I switch off. Thanks for inviting me to read this.
We tenaciously cling onto all that we hoarded over the years! But remember, we came empty handed and we shall leave this world empty handed! Then why fret unnecessarily about our leaving the Earth! If we can come to this sage like attitude, death of our mortal body or the end of the world will no more frighten or annoy us! Very philosophic thoughts worth pondering over! Enjoyed!

When Rammana Maharishi was afflicted by cancer, he used to ask his disciples as to why they were showing excessive grief. He called it as a disease on a disease. You are right. Lets us live each moment to its fullest without peeping too much into the future. Good poem....
