Enchanted With The Setting Sun Poem by Reva Kern

Enchanted With The Setting Sun

One is enchanted with
The evening sun as it
Slowly and leisurely sets
Upon the backs of cattle -
A few sharp sounds from
A willow whistle
Punctuate the dusk
In the middle
Of the country -
Spring breezes bring
Floating ripples to
A babbling brook
As snowflakes fly -
The sweet smell
Of the winter plum
Is thick.
