Empty Darkness Poem by Prabir Gayen

Empty Darkness

Rating: 5.0

Empty Darkness

Deepest steam unfathomable
dry and dreary darkness profound,
biting cold and scorching heat,
Life and death like mere myth,
Hard stone like breathing rose,
Empty mind with endless pain.

Deep down my creator sleeps,
Calm and quiet and deep indifference,
Endless and enormous without end,
No boundary line between life and death,
Pain and pleasure without expectation.

In the deepest core I am not,
My am-ness dies without death,
I am and I am not,
My soul rises above my deathless self,
Abysmal darkness and cavern deep.

Above the deep the empty space,
Full of darkness without bodies,
Falling and falling without end,
I fall and rise and fall again,
iterum atque iterum,
I fall within and without space.

My creator sleeps within my being,
In the darkness He is indifference,
Eternal and endless without me,
tamquam alter idem,
I am lost within my empty space.
