Ode to Eve
Let's not get it twisted; both Europeans and Asians are also gifted,
But this one is for my Alkebulan princess,
Sensual and enchanting, she leaves me breathless.
She is the key to happiness.
Her skin glistens with mahogany hues and copper tones,
Stronger she is than brick or stone.
In daylight, she shines with shades of brown and bronze,
The adoration she conveys never fades and goes on.
With tender fingers, she braids cornrows,
For no one else in this world would I trade,
Her strides bounce dynamically with a rhythmic posture,
Intersecting lines create a flawless curvature.
Head held high, the Nubian queen bestowed,
To her existence, we all owe.
The fruits of her womb bear humanity's children,
Garments cling lovingly to her physique's silken form.
Her figure is symmetrical, perfect in geometry,
Her area can't be calculated with trigonometry.
With calculus, we find that the area is best,
For the shortest distance is a straight line, no less.
Mother of all things possible, shade, and creed,
She nourishes the body, mind, and soul, meeting every need.
She has nurtured a nation and civilization,
The matriarch of time and all creation.
Her touch relieves all earthly pains,
She is a goddess and a queen; long may she reign.
Her beauty, from head to toe, cannot be beaten,
Sultrier than the fiercest luminary's heat.
An evening delight and a treat after supper,
Gorgeous from her crown to the soles of her feet.
Sweeter than the most satisfying sugar sweets,
A vixen in the sheets and a lady on the streets.
A catch that seldom lets down in conquest,
Naturally, it's true; her beauty is at its best.
Mother Nature is kind to all humankind; she is divine,
A true treasure by God's design.
Hips that carry me home, all sentiments desire.
Moments spent with her ignite a burning fire.
She is the initial teacher, lawyer, doctor, and preacher,
Shadowing her footprints, she leads in countless ways.
Master of all conquest, she surveys the land,
Daughter, sister, queen, and mother,
Sovereignty for a pharaoh, none can withstand.
By her king, she guides him to greatness unbound,
With her wisdom, she astounds.
Her truths resonate, for she knows just what to do;
To her king, she is clever, wise, and true.
As she dances, she hypnotizes with grace,
Proportions, flawless, healthy, in every space.
Her movements mesmerize, making the deaf hear,
The sightless open their eyes, to her presence near.
Her charm no man can resist; she is pure bliss,
Her kiss melts the coldest heart; she is also smart.
From nothing, she creates something captivating,
Lovemaker, earth-shaker, for her I am anticipating.
Unmatched by all, for she is Eve,
Dark and lovely, sweet and sexy, an angel I believe.
A bond that can withstand whatever may come,
Stronger we are when we are together as one.
A temptress when she chooses to be,
Her passion wields a power that woos me.
A scoundrel when she desires to play,
She fuels the flames that blaze the way.
She is the structural foundation of sound,
None can be found more enhanced or profound.
I am the lock, and she is the key;
She is my life, and I am her devotee.
Brown skin is perfect to be in,
Genuine and feminine, the real article she wears.
Proud of her stance, I admire her moon dance,
From Ghana to Botswana, a modeling empress.
From Somalia to Libya, embracing her blackness,
From Ethiopia to Namibia, queens you'll find,
From Mozambique to Nigeria, the purest of mankind.
Ghana is calling, no better can I find.
