Embrace The Freedom... Poem by Annette Aitken

Embrace The Freedom...

Rating: 5.0

Embrace The Freedom

As a new day begins
embrace the freedom
enjoy the sunshine and
revel in the taste of
a freshly squeezed orange.
Full of admiration
grab things with both hands.
Like I'm conducting and orchestra
stirring up some stardust.
Decide who you are or
who you want to be
realise your full potential.

Then arrive at your destination.

This is a poem to brighten everyone's morning. I feel better already. Will have to settle for Mangos and cherries but the feelings the same!

There is so much gaiety and confidence in these lines- - grab things with both hands. Like I'm conducting an orchestra- stirring up some stardust - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -we should concentrate on these kinds of thoughts when raising our children because that is how we want them to live... stirring up some stardust.

We really should take in all the glory of the day. Every day, from the very beginning to the end, contains so many glorious things, as you say, here, the sunshine, a superb glass of orange juice, ... Too many times I catch myself going through my day ignoring all that glory and being being absorbed in the clutter of my day, sometimes only late at night i notice something really beautiful. I have written such an experience out in the poem, Y.... Unblind. I think may enjoy reading that one. This poem, embrace the freedom, is wonderfully written, Annette. It is full of inspiration. Excellent!
