Eli, Eli, Lama, Sabachthani? Poem by MBJ Pancras

Eli, Eli, Lama, Sabachthani?

I fall into Satan's hands, and it seemed ‘cushion-like'
I see the world glittering and showing crimson pleasures,
Luminous bodies revolving around catching me;
Satan giveth me a vehicle for a ride around the world,
And I sit in the vehicle to traverse pleasures.
Satan sits beside me and locks my seat to the vehicle.
I'm locked in Satan's cage to run within walls,
The way out is seen hidden by smoky sins.
I love to fall into pleasures engulfed in the sea of sins:
The world offers me filthy games and dividends,
And I earn them with craze and flaws.
Satan enjoys my crazy craving for pleasures.
I stroll in dirty quagmire, yet I'm thrilled,
I dive deep into burning crater, but cuddled in Satan's hands,
I feel the weight of pleasures devoid of God's Presence,
Intermittently I'm warned by Heaven's Chastisement.

Alas! I hear a cry of the Lord Jesus Christ:
'Eli, Eli, Lama Sabachtani? '
The cry is from the Cross of Calvary,
It's God in Heaven Who hath come in human flesh
In the Person of Jesus Christ to die on the cross,
Immeasurable weight of sins of the world fell on Him,
That He took the shame of mankind Himself on Him,
And He hath revealed God's Eternal Plan for man,
That mankind hath to be cleansed from sins,
For God is Holy and Righteous,
And sinful mankind can never reach HIM,
And so, Jesus Christ was hung on the cross,
He bore the world's sins Himself,
And the world's sins have separated Him fsrom God.
I must have cried: 'Eli, Eli, Lama sabachtani.'
But He cried in my sinful place, and showed me the Way to God.

The sins of the world since creation till Doomsday fell on the Lord,
And He took the world's curse Himself to save mankind.
Severity of sins pounded the Lord to pieces,
My sins and the world's sins lacerated His flesh,
And the Holy Blood of God's Son flooded on the cross,
The mockery of mankind pierced the Lord's flesh,
The world's unbelief against God's Plan in Jesus Christ,
And the world's satanic ways blasphemed Him.
Those three hours on the cross put mankind at stake,
God forsook His Son for the sins of the world,
And in sins mankind can never enter God's Kingdom.
The sun during those three hours went dark,
The earth shook, and Nature cried in awe,
Unbearable separation from God left Christ Jesus to cry aloud:
'Eli, Eli, Lama Sabachtani'
‘My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me? '
