Elementary Vectors Poem by Roger Gerald Hicks

Elementary Vectors

Daily, three six five, life is nailedto steel

Cataclysm manifests aloneness
like a marginal migraine
creeping intensity averring doom
a pseudo-migraine that cows
into helplessness- only to fade.

Singular, solitary aloneness
rarely appeased.
Concentric rings
of spectrums rich and dear
varied and splendid avenues
yet the slightest ring barren.

The warm bed belying symmetry.
A polar column,
chakra piercing, pulses;
errant monitor:
essayist, alarmist,
despoiler, traitor.

Alone unravels in quantum
bitterness, betrayals,
splintered dreams,
hollow rewards, calcifying regret,
bleak emoted blotsfetid Essence?

Essence of ephemeral pitch or yaw.
Gagging migraine epiphanies.)
Matrixed shadows jet not ebony
nor charcoal darkened, but,

La! Livid pastels! Vivid pastels!
Cherished rapture!
