Elegy For My Mother Poem by Isadora Quagmire

Elegy For My Mother

Rating: 5.0

In dreams of moonlit serenity, she appears,
Graceful and beautiful, a vision so dear,
With dark hair cascading like midnight's whisper,
Her presence, a symphony, her love so clear.
She sacrificed much, her heart always giving,
A beacon of love, in faith she was living,
Firm in her guidance, yet gentle though surrounded by strife,
Her wisdom like stars, illuminating my life.
Her love for the Bible, a testament true,
With devotion to God, in everything she'd do.
A legacy etched in the depths of my soul,
Though she's gone, her memory makes me whole.
Brilliant as the full moon, her spirit aglow,
Her teachings and love forever I'll know.
In sorrow and joy, her memory remains,
A mother so dear, in my heart she'll be ever near.
