Excellent poem Shaun and one which, as a personal tutor, I can certainly relate to. Yesterday I taught circle theorems and Macbeth...it's so rewarding to be able to pass on one's knowledge and hopefully simplify things for students. It's still a great buzz for me! It's definitely a thank goodness for teachers inspired ten for me!

A wonderful poem and a great remembrance of our elders. Loved the ultimate stanza. Beautifully crafted and well conveyed. Onto my Poem List.

This poem resonates with me. My maternal grandmother used to make me recite the multiplication table early morning. We always say a prayer everyday and every meal. And yes, she had always instilled in my mind that the greatest treasure in life is education and that no one could ever take it away from me.
