Elderflower Dreams Poem by Jodie Bawden

Elderflower Dreams

Twirl me around in my silly skirt,
Kiss my blackberry-stained lips and wrap my purple fingers in yours.
Sing high, laugh loud,
Grab that wicker basket and come have a picnic with me.
Let's lie in long grass, hidden from gentle breezes,
And turn our faces to where the sun shines with all its brightness.
We will run away to the sands of southern beaches,
Making promises I pray we keep.
I dream of a life together,
And he holds me, to whisper "forever".
