tnku so much sir for writhing me this.. I never thought that some one will read and think about my poems like you did.. I am so happy to see such a long comment from your side
Your poem amused and informed me, two positive reactions. I almost wish it had stayed with Einstein's comments to Charlie. The irony Einstein identifies - you don't say a word and everyone understands you - is delightful. I recently rewatched Charlie's City Lights which is very sentimental and heart-felt - you don't know if he will win the girl's love at the end because the film closes with a close-up of his face, and he can't speak! A silent film and the main character is at a loss for words. By the way, I read the transcript of a meeting between Einstein and the great poet Tagore. Einstein was very respectful and Tagore extremely courteous. Neither man wanted the other to change his life-focus. Einstein could not write poetry; Tagore could not calculate physics, but the encouragement each gave to the other is a model of how ALL PEOPLE should interact! Thanks again for your delightful poem! Good luck in college! I too studied literature in college - I think we're both closer in our life-focus to Tagore than to Einstein!
Hi Mary I have already commented on this poem, but I (and many others) really love it. And I have re-read it on occasion; on this occasion I just had to once again say it's a wonderful poem. The generosity of spirit you show both Chaplin and Einstein displaying I'm certain comes from YOUR SOUL and you are sharing it with the two of them! !
