This is a beautiful limerick which is penned as a tribute to Edward Lear. Thanks for sharing this with us.
Thanks for liking it. The rhymes are slightly belaboured. Edward Lear did not even bother to rhyme all lines.
I appreciate this lovely limerick which forms a befitting tribute to Edward Lear who was also called “the poet laureate of the limerick” because he helped popularise the form. Your notes give a fairly good idea of his limericks- it's rhyming style and essence. Thanks for sharing, Aniruddha Sir.
A compliment from some greats poet on PH. But i'd certainly not get type-cast as a limerick man. If you can spare some time do read Sir my other poems, critically examine and me if they pass muster. Thanks
