Edgimicated Poem by Ian (John) McCleary (Son of the Cleric)

Edgimicated

Words like Y O U T H and M E N T A L A B U S E! carved into the door to the classroom, pencil doodles trying to grow into that long awaited flower called intellectual stimulation.
Desks graffitied with pen after a lecture. Food and nail clippings on the carpets, giving the impression it were in the state penitentiary and not in a school.
Years of compulsory education has done this. It has made learning about as dull as it is can get.
An attitude of been there done that is all that's acquired from it.
There it is folks...an educated citizenry!
