Soft hum dissolves into hypnotised air;
That surrounds the sleeping angel.
Sweetened breaths travel the nasal freeway;
As the hum transforms into silent beats.

A fountain breaks free to kiss the air; Gleaming droplets smile in unseen cradle. New found thoughts travel up; the heart begins to dance on rhythm of the beats. You swept me away into your dreams! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! -10 love anjali

Hi Nukunj - 'Dream dream dream - all i have to do is dream! ' This si another lovely thought provoking poem. V 1. When I observe my children and grandchildren asleep they always looked angelic and one could only speculate on their dreams - they had them - but could never remember the details in the morning. Thats how 'Sweet Dreams' should be ephemeral - real enough to ameliorate the sweetness of a child's sleep but transient enough to be forgotten in the morning. In my experience only neglected - abused and frightened children have nightmares! My children and gchildren never have them! ! V 2. The sounds of the night are everywhere - lmaps are lit - dreamtime begins. 'Tender steps begin an unknown journey - through the well lit streets of heart'. V 3. A lovely description of a child's dreamtime - 'The heart begins to dance on rhythm of the beats'. V 4. We can enjoy our children's dreamtime - but we must get to bed to strengthen us for the vicissitudes of the morrow. 'Closed eyes visualise what life can't bestow and creaking bed awaits as always'. A lovely poem stirring many memories in many of our minds. I score it a MAX. Yours in Poetry - JOHN.

I travel with you through this tenderly beautiful poem; a stream of thoughts as they flow watching adoringly a sleeping child, blissfully unaware of what life holds while the poet reflects on nature of man's journey in this world and acceptance of mortal nature of flesh and body. the beauty of poem is that it is open to several interpretations in accordance with the readers own experience. goes to my fav a remarkable poem Nikunj Mamta

My mind goes a couple directions here-first I see a mother, dreaming about a child she cannot conceive and waking up to that reality, or a parent about to dream after checking on their child and part-way dreaming or listening to them cry maybe...good things about dreams-they're so abstract, us readers can make them what we want them to be :) ...your chosen words, do make me stop and think, then stop and think again, so the flow may be not smooth, but dreams are like that, they change so rapidly-so good pacing.

What would life be like without the gift of dreaming? No matter how we live in reality, we can live the life of luxury and beauty, fame and fortune, within the dream world. Beautifully written with lovely imagery and color. Linda :)
