I was delighted to see a poem inspired by that iconoclast and visionary Edgar Varese. I have been listening to his (very few) works for many decades. Your poem has four interruptions almost like stutters. The last two are: THE FREEDOM/THE FREEDOM I EXPERIENCE and THE SOUNDS/THE SOUNDS BOMBARD. Both of these assess his music. its freedom is its essence; and everyone who has heard AMERIQUES or INTEGRALES knows his music bombards the listener. But the first interruptions involve your choice, free choice to keep listening to music which you now perceive as enchanting. Your poem is really close to my first experience with Varese's music and my wililngness to pursue it further and repeatedly. It's so good to meet some else who appreciates him! It's been lonely listening in solitude to a composer of such breadth and vision.
