Since when did we get eco-centric?
Had we been before?
But if man is not, can the environment have its lone existence?

Before eco-criticism, eco-critical studies, discourses and treatises,
We studied it not in that way
As we are now-a-days man and trees,
Man's relationship with trees

And after having cut the forests, cleared and cleaned them,
Sending the animals to artificial habitats in zoos as caged spirits,
We now talking about.

If we can ask the highway men, we shall come to know it
How we have felled trees,
The big-big trees?
