Echoes Poem by Thomas Thompson

Echoes

Echoes

This morning while driving
I heard gunfire
Two shots distinct close
My heart raced as I ducked frantically looking for a way out

My wife alarmed at what I was doing
Or where was I
Until I realized halfway down
It was only backfire from a motorcycle driving by

Tommy
