I'm lost in a sea of memories,
Of you and I, laughing while holding hands,
Memories of love and affection, night and day,
But now I'm left alone, and you're away,
I wish I could forget the times we shared,
The laughter, the love, the moments that we cared,
But no matter how hard I try,
The memories of you refuse to die.
I look for peace in the depths of my mind,
For a way to leave the past behind,
But the more I try to let go,
The more the memories seem to grow.
I wish I had amnesia, to take me away,
To let me forget the love that couldn't stay,
To erase the pain, the hurt, the tears,
And help me find a new frontier.
