I could scream
But would you hear me?
Or would I just be an echo in your ear?
Or a whisper in the air?
If I screamed, at the top of my lungs,
Would you stop to help me?
Or keep walking, pretending I'm not there
If I whispered in your ear, would you acknowledge that I'm here?
Or let my voice fade to nothingness?
If I needed you, would you come?
Or let me scream my lungs out?
If you asked, I would be there
Not an echo in the wind, but a scream in the storm
I could try with all my might
But, yet, you still block me every time
Would you decide to hear my voice?
Or let me remain unknown
Like a distant echo
