Eaten When Drunk Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Eaten When Drunk

Sorrow, misery, anger! !
From the serpent's root cam the adder;
And, the fish of the sea was taken away.

The muse of life!
Try to come out from all the sins of this world and live;
Learning the ways of peace.

Illegal lust!
Some things are eaten when drunk;
Life!
Some words are said when drunk;
But, this flowing river beside us today looks very white.

Iniquitous acts!
The very acts of mankind;
Destroying everything in the name of gaining wealth.
