Easter Poem by Jürgen Wagner

Easter

Rating: 5.0

Long slept, so deeply at rest
Today, I'll act, courage in my chest
I look around, what a green hue!
I can laugh again, the earth blooms anew

Long suffered, so much endured
I want to live again, carefree and assured
The sun envelops me in golden light
I see the bliss, the break out with might

Long alone, so hardly any new
I think that's enough, searching for you
The sprouting surrounds me, a tender start
I'm touched, sensing the meaning from the heart

Resurrection, this we should celebrate!
My limbs are no longer laden with weight
After all the deaths I've undergone
The trace of life has returned: step on!
