So sad to have disasters like earthquake. Very wonderful and thoughtful expression shared with reality. Interesting.10
Hah, nice ending Rosie. Didn't see that coming, it fits nicely with earthquakes..never see those coming either!
I know, nobody would think about funeral homes when it comes to disasters.
This poem resonates with me. Our country, being in the Ring Of Fire is frequently visited by natural calamities. We always experience quite a number of. earthquakes in a year. We are helpless with the wrath of Mother Nature. All we do is pray that we may be spared from its devastating effects. A great poem. I was caught unaware by the closure lines of this poem. A complete twist on the theme. Cleverly written.
The trouble with natural disasters is that, they come without warning. You cannot prepare for it and tens of thousands of people may lose their lives. When it is all over, all you are left with are the crying sounds and the aftermath. In the face of natural disasters, human beings are so insignificant and powerless. Thank you for your support Marie.
