Earth From A Distance Poem by Suzette Richards

Earth From A Distance

the memory hurts
but does me no harm
if I can get through the day
without thinking of you and
read poetry that aflame the mind
it has no purpose
other than to breath
free from the shackles of design
the earth from a distance

disassociating myself
from pseudo reality
from artificial triggers
that encompass you
has become my objective
my mantra encapsulated
in a cry from my chained soul
to give me a new perspective
the earth from a distance

experiencing novalunosis
brings me closer to Nirvana
where I can freely explore
the different facets
that represents you
teasing out the essence
it does me no harm
but memory hurts seeing
the earth from a distance
