Eagle View Poem by Saravanan Sivasubramanian

Eagle View

Somewhere
in a village
In the crematorium
The corpse of a young woman
is burning

of that small nation
In the civil war
A young woman
By a hegemonic army
She becomes completely naked

of a large city
In an apartment building
A new bride is falling
At the husband's feet

Then She starts to say something

He was Cover her mouth
With his hands and then
Enjoy her in bed

In that crowded city
On a busy road
The bus is moving
Like a turtle
Inside that bus
A young woman
Was teased by a male chauvinist

Somewhere
in a village
In the crematorium
The corpse of a young woman
is burning
