Duston Dreams Poem by Paula Glynn

Duston Dreams

I remember those times
Of Duston Dreams
Where the lodge
Meant playing scrabble
On rainy Saturday
And quiet Sunday

Sometimes going on the bus
Into town with Nick
Shopping for purchases
Also sometimes
Going out for a coca-cola
At the public house
Local to Duston

And walking everywhere
Around Duston
Including around
Park and fields
When the sun was out
Meant so much
To both Nick and myself

For Duston Dreams
Are and were
Part of my memories
Part of my life and dreams
For now the lodge gone
I still hold memories
And know Duston
Means the world to me
And to Nick
For two souls together
In time
And in heart and mind.
