Rating: 5.0

I am addicted to your spare landscape.
Each dropp of rain is distinct as a tear.
A lemon touch of old sun scores the mind.
Joy chafes our subtle thoughts into a flame.

Sandra, The 'palette' and 'infinity' in the last stanza transforms this poem of yours into an Impressionist landscape painting! I shall explain this further in my next poem! 10 + -Raj

the thought of taking the sounds of a singing bird with you forever has a certain charm to it...i agree w/ katherine, like all of your writing, very impressionistic...always comments on nature and the effect on the soul, i like 10; /10

Sandra-I love this one! It stirs up such images and memories like an impressionistic painting. I like the colors, and the bird singing is a stroke of genius. Beautiful work. kate

Subtlety in imagery, the bare bones of poetry. You leave your poems open to many readings. Some images cross borders... Why are good poems sad? Metaphors build a safety net. Glad to hear the sound....

You wrote and express an excellent poem with a painted image of a imagination very profound Ms. Fowler.

Your shadow song is eternal. This lovely poem moves in muted colors from rain to the bridge of dusk, a wider vista of imagination is opened. The shadow bird image is most poignant. Dusk is the finest time of day for revery.

a soft whisper has the power to cross skies and seas for nothing is foreign to the color blue…! A poem painted in deep blue in our minds…

'spare landscape...subtle thoughts...shades of smoke...shadow birds and whispers.' this is simply beautiful Sandra - you have captured the magic, mystery and muted beauty of twilight. Possibly my favourite of yours to date... j xx

You mix the metaphors in your palette beautifully well to paint this extraordinary piece.

Sandra, this gentle poem is a tribute to the spare - the color, touch and sound of subtlety. Your palette is one of pastel light, your music of delicate woodwinds, your mood, a soft cantabile. Variety and familiarity are the hallmarks of your poetry. This one is no exception. Enchanting penning. love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Pure, sublime, inspired and inspirational music. Fills the mind with a sense of great colour and joy. I love the theme too. Dusk does indeed have a sense of gentle mystery about it which any great poet will never fail to feel. You know Sandra - I was searching for the best line which I could quote but I couldn't find one because each line is a gem. This is not poetry only - this is magic which intoxicates the senses. This - only very few - one of whom is undoubtedly you - can pull off. Your poetry is positive. It brings joy and a great sense of happiness to its readers. Thank you for this great write which I thoroughly enjoyed. Take care...

I love your colors of sadness and hope, longing and failing, the heart that gradually disapears in dusky mist. Uriah
