Duality Poem by Eric Niehoff

Duality

Your gift is your curse
Used wrong things get worse
Intentions unsure
Motives unclear
The evil behind is what you now fear

Attribute or, handicap
Your potential you tap
Use only when needed
And use at the right time
Seldom will it become your crime

Many will want your power
Your innocence they will sour
Closed off from yourself
Open to many
Becoming as common as a discarded penny

Jaded you become
Forgetting where you're from
No one to trust
No one to believe
A world with problems is all you perceive

Hope you now seek
Prospects seem bleak
Ideas in the horizon
Almost hard to see
Make the journey towards them to set yourself free.
