I love this one. The reader can feel distant and near at the same moment. Wonderful use of language too.
Short but sweet... so much said with so few words. Mark of a good poet. Wonderfully written even though the tone is sad. Joyce
I loved the direct nature of this poem and the point was conveyed very well due to this. The shift in time periods also added a lot to it. ~Oisín
Hugh, this is a fine analogy to the broken-heartedness of living. All that remains are fossils and they too crumble into dust at the end. I liked the strong visual aspect of the poem and its straightforwardness.
