Drowning In Pain Poem by Laquory Jones

Verse 1
I've been drowning in the pain
Going through the inferno realms
Of tornadoes and hurricanes
Not sure what I've been thinking
In my brain but my emotions
Has been running high
Drinking red bull giving me wings
Super flying through these wonder
Years awhile pondering tears
Just trying to conquer fears
But no one wanting to lend a ear
Meanwhile life has been kicking
Me in my rear end biblical
Prophesies beginning to flood in

Verse 2
So I'm writing these gospels with
Pure nitrogen and a flaming sword
Go ahead and ignore everything
That I too had to endure
But when it all gets worse just say
Richie told you first heart's flooding
With love but it's hitting its maximum
Problems I seem to be racking them
Yeah Richie sing your anthem
But until you go though the sanctum

Verse 3
Don't tell me what you've been through
Lost three friends and we just hit
2022 another hit with the Covid
It's like feeling a liquid burn with gasoline
And combustion taking turns
I keep getting hit with the 3rd degree
Perhaps I should swallow mercury
It's the feeling of hopelessness setting
In like these mental scars appearing upon
Skin so Edgar and me have one thing in
Common perhaps all this time he's been
Batman and I Robin spitting Omens like
It's stated In the Times of Rome
Sacred passages written in New Times Roman
(Well, When in Rome)

Verse 4
It all started with Julius as in Caesar
Meanwhile Life has been brutal (Brutus)
With the stabbing knife
Cutting humanity in half go ahead and
Laugh I'm just stating facts
Governments splitting sides but people
Don't see the division yet the blood's
Running crimson and all I feel is the
Tension Governments keeps cutting
Pensions and not to mention how we
Almost saved voting rights by the inches
But one senator thinks she can save
Our problems in a day it's no easy fix

Verse 5
There's no reason to ditch what we can save
Today and tomorrow do you still not follow
If make 'America Great' is the motto,
Then why do we keep feeling hallow?
It's okay if you don't share these opinions
I'm open for any discussions
Let's open Pandora's box with a Paradox
Because the only constant is change
