This really resonates with me sometimes. A sad but wonderfully written poem dear poetess. Here is hoping for brighter and fresher days.

It's always easy for us to breathe when we're free. Freedom is the best medicine against any kind of stench.

Fully agreed, Zoran! We breathe a sigh of relief as we say, 'Now I am safe.'

I think this is one of your best poems. I reread it a few times feeling something a little different each time as I saw the world and life the words. A 10+

Thank you, Carl. I think since most of us visit this site to relax, I generally try to write fun or light poetry (when I'm not writing romantic ones!) I figure that real life is difficult enough, as it is. But I was experiencing a particularly bad day, and this poem is what resulted. I suppose I saw myself fighting my way through the bad stuff. Thanks again for complimenting such an unusual poem.
