this is marvelous! The words spiral and draw you in until you, like the speaker, become rapt in memories and lost love. Though every part of this is lovely, these lines are my favorite: In this Ravenous night As I sit outside, all alone Looking into the night sky I see blinking stars here and there And my memories swim Around a starry eyed girl I love the double entendre here with blinking stars and starry eyed girl such clever use of language!
