Thank you Mohammed Nehal, and good to meet a friend poet who likes Sanskrit, our ancient heritage. There was some mix up and this reply had gone for E=MC square.

A fascinating and insightful poem. Types of occasion dictate what we usually wear. Although we are dressed for the occasion, sometimes we are overdressed thinking we could make a great impression on people's eyes. A great poem with a meaningful message.

Thank you. But some credit should go to the creator of this shloka. See Devanshu' feedback (for the Sanskrit version) . This verse goes a little further: one can be over-dressed when he's all wrapped up in his own self.

Quite right! There is a saying 'Apparel proclims a man'! It is important that one should be elegantly and modestly dressed. But getting over dressed makes the person appear ridiculous and leaves a negative impression on the onlooker! Wisely put!
