Poe has always employed my personal interest. His head and heart bleeds and sings to the ears willing to listen.
Dreams in their vivid coloring of life, AS in that fleeting, shadowy, misty strife Of semblance with reality. A fantastic flight of imagery and a pleasurable read.
The last 8 lines of this poem are especially sublime, perhaps because they speak to the human heart truths about our passage here on earth. Even if walked on the brink of madness, I cannot count him less. He was an extraordinary talent, a player of words of sounds of images of rhythm and repetition and all things valuable to a poet.
