Winter is past.... Winter has come again, but the spring that Susan referred to in her excellent poem still exists and remains within herself. Because her beautiful poem is all psychological signs and symbols, referring to the victory of happiness over the defeat of depression and sadness, but she successfully employed psychological states in the various components of nature. a barely-a-whisper-of-a-breeze day! ! ! well done with a top rate and onto my fav list

We got snowed in too, heh, :) and an ice rink for a parking lot! .. Don't you just wish, if you stared at it long enough it; d just all melt away, the grass would show and all the critters and the sun would come out to play! .. :) But, Huray soon, it will melt away! .. Thank you dear friend! .. Love this! ..

Winter is going back and spring is coming ahead, this is the time that can bring happiness to everyone. Your expression regarding this is touching and romantic. I quote..... No more snow drifting around in silence most profound No more muffling to death all sign of life and sound No more rain pounding down on the town Nor dribbling down nor drooling down No more chill of wind no more howl of fierce fanged wind This is my second visit for its attraction. Thank you.

Even a blue sky in the midst of a succession of miserably grey days can chase winter' drear away for a while!

Here you, dear Susan, have nicely and vividly inscribed the scenery of winter as well as the appearance of spring eloquently. Let me quote some lines... A birds-cheeping-and-swooping day, a barely-a-whisper-of-a-breeze day! ! ! To winter I bid a happy adieu, I love a blue-eyed day, don't you? Lovely poem shared. Thanks.

How lovely...a blue eyed day! ....those few words aptly describes spring so well after the bitter cold images of winter. I really do love those endless blue sky days with barely a whisper of a breeze..

We earn those first days of spring having survived the deep snows and bitter cold seeping through our walls and through our skin.... Brrrrrrrrrrrrr! I'm glad you liked the phrase blue-eyed day- - :)

In total agreement with you. We've had 4 days in a row without snow- -crossing my fingers though still have ice and snow on ground.

Good news Susan! Spring is less than 40 days away! ! ! ! Longing with you - for skies of blue - for flowering buds anew- -with birds a plenty flying our way....returning - the Doves & Blue Jay...and all of the warming sun on our summering shoulders kind of day. Love your words...feel sometimes that winter can play havoc with our hearts and minds...we have had a fairly mild one this year - (knock on wood) ....i wish for you an early Spring - with all of the beautiful weather it may bring! As always love, love your words...i could almost feel that wind! ! ! ! ! ! !

Theo, I am in a state of hope. I can appreciate the grandeur of a snow-covered landscape with thousands of ice crystals sparkling in the snow drifts and on the snow-frocked tree branches.... but not for months on end..... I want sunshine and bird song and lilacs blooming and.... and and and and... spring is full of and's! May you and I see spring soon and all the joy that spring promises.

I had to write it! I couldn't take another hour of snow and ice so I built myself a spring day... then I opened my eyes and saw... snow and ice falling again. Sigh. Yes, snow is beautiful and ice sparkles so lovely but I want to start the garden
