Dreaming Of You Poem by Jennifer Birchall

Dreaming Of You

Rating: 5.0

I dreamt about you last night
We were in a forest
Golden paths intertwined
We were holding hands
The autumn wind blew softly on my face
We were talking and laughing
Faint sounds of a dog could be heard
We ran to a secret shelter we kissed
You looked at me with love in your eyes
Then I awoke to this nightmare

I suppose the nightmare was the realisation that he was no longer there.

She is in love with somebody else in her dreams and perhaps her poems too and it seems real life starts with a nightmare.

It was a lovely dream but sadly the nightmare of waking up to reality.
