Dream Scheme

DREAM SCHEME

Beware of your bad dreams
They may have a message scheme
And they enact slowly but surely
To pull you over to the net of its own theme

very distant futures
are sometimes, foretold
not as a secret, but
to warn in the correct sense

How should I believe
such informal snap-shots,
unless I have some
substance to rely on

I have now found a new friend
Who defys and ridicules the above belief
And promises to hand down a remedy -
that I would stop dreaming at all,
and would start with thunderous…..snoring.
