Beautiful narrative poem, insightfully penned with conviction. I really enjoyed the way the story unfolded. A lovely poem indeed. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.

Captivating poem. I found myself riding along with you and eavesdropping on all those conversations around me. Thank you. Well done!

I have been on a similar train ride long ago, back then I was a kid. But your poem reminds me of those days and you describe it so beautifully. Thank you, Sandra

Sounds like a great way to spend part of a day. I relish that feeling; of being surrounded by delicious talk; and being owned by nobody, can freely eavesdrop or participate in either of the discussions that appeals to me; or simply remain the mysterious stranger who only listens..(smile)

Quite true what you say....The Mumbai local, among other things, can teach one (if required) to be PATIENT..... Cheers. Subroto

one a train ride, one has many choices... you can sleep, read a good book, listen to music, use your laptop, watch the wonderful scenery or listen and observe the people around you, write a poem... indeed how can one be bored?

My God! Sandra this is a treat. From the minis to such a complete story. It's like wholesome nutritious food for a reader’s mind. It's great to read an artistic poem that long, unlike those Haikus or senryus. This is quite an interesting story like the kind you find in Amol Palekar movies, simple, nice, and beautiful. Thank you.
