Down In The Dumps
Lost in a sea of memories,
I'm drowning in the past,
Longing to live in the present,
The years have gone so fast.
There's happiness waiting for me,
If i just allow it in,
But right at this very moment,
I just don't know where to begin.
I need someone to tell me,
Hey! Things will turn out alright,
I need someone to hold me,
To hug me oh so tight.
Maybe tomorrow i'll say to myself,
My world will turn around,
I need to forget,
Look forward to life,
Not to let life get me down.

A heartfelt message to oneself. Life is definitely what we allow it to be. We get stuck in the past sometimes with regret and this gets in the way of a path going forward. A really great poem that many can relate to.
We have established this pattern out of apprehension, apprehension about everything around us, even If we conquer this the community and those close to us will try to pull us back into this familiar pattern. Thought provoking poem filled with memory.5****
