Doorway To A Cliche Poem by Raj Dronamraju

Doorway To A Cliche

As you go through growth of character real or imaginary
Please don't compare this to doors
The door is open, I walk through the door etc.
Stop the door analogies and metaphors

Language is not your friend or so you think
Doors are easy, they lead both inside and outside
Weak and desperate to tell anyone anything, you grasp for the knob

You are a knob and
One of the enablers of door clichés
I came in through the chimney and I'll leave by the window

Why don't you tell us about you?
Don't compare your experience to anything
Don't open anything but your mind
