At the doorstep of darkness
So many
Have come and gone
At the doorstep of darkness
Break a mournful dawn
At the doorstep of darkness
Lovers family
And friends
Tearfully
From one another
They must part
At the doorstep of darkness
Weeping eyes
Another broken heart
