Interesting idea to put the idea of doors with friendship in this way. Doors of steel, shale, zinc, brass and hard wood. People who are completely closed off, who gossip, who are fragile and emotional, who open up with difficulty, but then are wide open, and who talk too much. Yes! You have seen doors! Thanks for sharing your metaphoric poem. Well done.
I agree with Pam below me.. The poem is more like an extended metaphor on how friendships are formed.. People take time to open up... The task of forming a friendship is akin to opening a door.. There are different levels of strength required.. But what happens when the door opens? ? I have had seen monsters inside the room.. Thanks for sharing Tapera..
