Of dawn's early golden light
Birds flew singing across the sky
Breeze whizzed past telling all is right

It's only Valsa George who can paint a day of misfortunes in such an impressive way, a graet poem by my great friend.

Much of it is fictitious...In a way one accident led my imagination to expand a little more wider. Thank you my friend!

yikes! what a series of calamities! better the day to end up well, yes? as a teacher i prefer a difficult day with a good last class than a mostly good day until the last class leaves a bad taste in my mouth, to use a common expression. -glen

Wonderful poem. There comes days when all start in a very pleasant way contrary to your expectation. This one is a bad one but the way you have told the story is simply amazing. Great write.

A very smooth and fluent description of a miserable day when every thing goes wrong accept the leaning on a loved one's shoulder to tell us that all is not lost. Excellent poem Valsa.a perfect 10.

Yes, through all difficulties, if there is a shoulder to lean on, the gravity of the situation won't be felt. Thank you Savita for your thoughtful comment!

No one can challange the unseen and unfortunate circumstances when it will appear with its all sarrows. Dear madam, you have painted the doom happened with you, I suppose, very heart touchingly and fantastically. Nice penmanship. Thanks.

Yes, no one can predict what lies ahead! The only thing possible for us is to face and accept things as they come! Thank you sir for your thoughtful comment!

Oh my goodness! What a start to a day! Glad you were ok, and decided to write us a poem about what happened. Sometimes it helps to lighten the situation. That's what I did in the case of my poems No Mercy and The Last Lioness, if you care for a laugh.

Doom's day is not far fetched. It can happen any time and any where, one thing leading to the other. You went through all one day to warn others through a lovely poem.

Thank you sir....! Though such things are possible, by God's grace nothing of it happened, except that I got a mild shock. However such things are all probable!

I can relate to those days that come under the guise of well being and quiet bliss then unexpectedly turn into an ugly monster of trials and tribulations. I guess those days make the good ones really shine. I enjoyed reading your poem Valsa.10+

Some days are so baffling....! When things move very smooth, there can be a series of hiccups, sometimes a chain of unexpected disastrous turns. But nothing can be done other than enduring them or battling with them! Simone, you find time to read many of my poems and drop highly encouraging comments...! I feel greatly indebted to you! Thank you friend!

Yes- -these kind of accidents seem to have a domino effect going from one irritating event to another to another and then another. It makes me want to go back to bed and sleep through the rest of the day- -but there is no hiding from the Trivial Fates who nibble and nick and trip a person into a really bad frame of mind.

When things go hay wire, it won't stop with one or two instances, but continue one after another until one feels so thoroughly exhausted. It is true that recently I got a shock from an electric stove while making tea. The rest of the incidents are made up... But I wanted them to appear as natural as possible! Susan I always cherish your comments and thanks a lot for the same!

It may not be a doom's day but no less than that either. It all started with trying to get a steaming cup of tea. Quite normal. But then, whatever happened turned out to be anything but normal. At the end of the day let's agree on the old saying- All is well that ends well. Thanks, Valsa ji, for sharing an amazing poem.

Rajnish sir, I love the way you have appraised my poem. Let me repeat, it is always a pleasure reading your comments. Yes, l shall seek consolation at the thought that all is well that ends well. In fact it is a fictional write inspired by Shakespeare's quote... When sorrows come, they come not in single spies, but in battalions

Superb. How some days turn out to be terrible, when right from the start of the day, everything seems to go wrong...you have captured it so well. Such days make us think of doomsday. And we feel it can't get any worse than this. A perfect flow n rhyme. Everybody can relate to it. This poem certainly has a universal appeal, in fact all your poems have. I loved reading it. The element of humor in the poem makes it even more interesting. A wonderful penning. A super 10.
