Still a touching poem that draws attention to the awful condition of drug addicts.
Nice poem, an expose of the prison of depression. It should be talked about because depression kills. Mental illness is a thing not discussed and as seen as a no go area. Thumbs up
favorite lines so far: " Her only choice Is never what she chooses " i love the Poet's Notes! i got a little, but prolonged, laugh here: " So much it's now blunt " even I don't believe: " tore her jaw clean off" ...unless it was someone else's jaw! I enjoy reading your comments as much as your poems ;) And about the " jaw" thing- it's based off of a story that my mate told me: A man failed a suicide attempt as he flinched at the last second before pulling the trigger; The shotgun pellets ended up missing his brain, The man ended up missing his entire bottom jaw.
