Don't Put Your Wagon On The Road Poem by Dorsey Baker

Don't Put Your Wagon On The Road

Stormy skies thunder
Clapping hard and loud
Lightning brightly flashes
It's anger down from above
Don't put your wagon on the road
Don't start going home
bad weather coming
Don't put your wagon on the road!
Don't start going home

I know home is where
The heart is
But the time is coming
When you can get to it
And it'll be when the time comes
Bad weather
Old people say
That they can feel bad weather
In their grumpy bones
Bad weather coming
Don't put your wagon on the road
Don't start going home
