Poem Hunter notified me the other day
that a certain person had started
following me.
I had to wonder why.
I've already been everywhere
and done everything
I ever wanted to do.
Well, almost.
I have no place else to go
and nothing left to do.
I'm just sittin' around
waitin' for the buzzards
to carry me off.
So, no need to follow me.
I ain't goin' nowhere.
PART THREE---so buck up. my friend, we're going to follow you whether you think you're not going anywhere cuz you already have gone a lot of interesting places in this world and in your life and we like hearing about it--so there.
PART FOUR--- my horse is a traveling fiend and I've never worn him down yet so we be following your trail cuz it's been a worthwhile journey and I'm no slouch riding a rocking chair either--- I guess you'll have to put up with a huge gathering of rocking chairs on your porch
That horse is 'laughing'? ? ? It's a scary beast! ! But it reminds me of Mr. Ed, of TV fame. 5 stars....for oldtimes' sake. ;)
I'm still following you pard, you're one of the few left in these parts who knows the trail!
Great one Cowboy. I love the picture! I think I know that broomtail, his pappy throwed me at the Daddy of em All in Cheyenne a few years back!
i DON'T think of vultures/buzzards carrying off parts of carcasses, but I believe I DID see one carry off a small dead mammal from our backyard some years ago, I think a mole I'd seen lying around.
This poem has not been translated into any other language yet.
I would like to translate this poem
PART ONE--humph--even if you 'just' ride a rocking chair on your front porch, I'll sit there and rock by you and listen to your tales about your life or life in general--Cowboys always have traveled some interesting trails to share and stood outside at night and communed with the stars
