Don't Despair Poem by Isadora Quagmire

Let not your soul be burdened, nor succumb to deep despair,
In God, your steadfast Father, cast away each anxious care.
Surely His hand is mighty, strong to guide and to sustain,
All of your days are numbered, known to Him through joy and pain.
And though the path seems clouded, and your vision may grow dim,
Trust in His perfect purpose, fix your hope and sight on Him.


Lift up your gaze to heaven, where His glorious throne resides,
Infinite is His wisdom, as His loving grace presides.
Seek Him in every moment, in the quiet and the fray,
Abide within His presence, as you walk throughout your day.
All fear evaporates swiftly, when His peace begins to bloom,
Through Christ, our Rock eternal, conquering every shade of gloom.


Lean on His saving grace, for His faithfulness is sure,
In every step and stumble, His redemption will endure.
So lay your heavy burdens at the cross where mercy flowed,
Almighty God is with you, lightening every weary load.
And He will never falter, nor forsake His ransomed child,
Trust fully in His promise, reconciled and undefiled.
