Dont' Be Gandhari Comments

Gandhari erred by blindfolding her own eyes as if to share the experiences of the dark world her blind husband Dhrutharashtra was to be exposed to. She chose to be a foolish great wife and blundered by opting to be blindfolded that led to the Kauravas, her hundred sons being wrongly reared. Krishna reasons with the bemoaning Gandhari who questions him why he failed to stop the Pandavas from eliminating all her sons not sparing even a single one by telling her that she wanted to join in the list of the most committed wives and wronged her sons by allowing them to be wicked. And Krishna asks when a mother has done it so, why should he the God and the destroyer of the wicked spare a son for her?

Mothers should be the motivational force for their children... They should not only love their children, but lead and correct them when ever it is necessary. If the mothers fail in this duty, there will come a time when they will have to pay a heavy price like Gandhari! A poem with a great message to the mothers
